Paper Roundup
There’s a lot of papers I read but don’t have much to say about, other than “huh…” or maybe “hmm…” or even “well what do you know.” May I present: PAPER ROUNDUP.
- Mussel beds self-organize. van de Koppel et al., Science 322:5902.
- Biodiversity appears to be positively correlated with biomass in plants — especially if you look at lineages rather than species. Cadotte et al., PNAS 105:44.
- Species turnover in amphibians is a better predictor than pure environmental correlates for species turnover in birds. Buckley & Jetz, PNAS in press.
